My husband and I drove into Laguna Beach on a Friday night.  Arriving at our hotel around 9 PM, there was not a lot open late...especially as we were hoping to walk from our hotel.  Thanks to Yelp, we found Reunion Kitchen.  When we arrived, just before 10 PM, there were a few people dinging, though the place was emptying out.  We were assured that they were still serving, and we had a really delicious meal without feeling rushed at all, especially, as toward the end, were were the very last diners there.
We even lucked out, as it was late night happy hour, and we saved a few bucks on each drink and appetizer.
There was so many delicious drinks on the menu, that I didn't really know where to start.  I asked for guidance, and learned that the Vanilla Old Fashioned was one of the most popular drinks.  They did a great job with crafted cocktails, and even made my Old Fashioned with brandy for me, as requested.  I enjoyed the loaded deviled eggs, burnt cauliflower, and the heirloom tomato burrata.  Everything was amazing!  It was so much food that I couldn't finish, even though I shared some.  I did try though!
Our service was great.  As I said, we never felt rushed.  Our server was friendly, made friendly chit chat, and was always available when needed and checked in on us regularly,  I will definitely return to Reunion Kitchen next time I'm in town.

Very nice place. Good food and good service.

We had the bacon wrapped jalapeño and Brussels sprout for an app. Very good. The jalapeños were very spicy.

    Lunch we had:

Late night burger, meatloaf sandwich and short rib sandwich. We also had the sunrise scramble. All were excellent. Meatloaf was the best out of all by far.

Warm towels at the end made it a 4.5 star. But can't put that in.

We visited Reunion for the first time on Saturday, August 31st at about 11:15am with a party of two.  We were visiting Laguna for the day from Pasadena, and found this restaurant from an online search on the way down.

We arrived and were seated promptly.  It was not busy when we arrived; however, was busy by the time we left.  It is a beautiful restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating.  There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant near the Von's.

Our server was just wonderful.  She was kind, friendly and just a joy.

We had a choice of breakfast or lunch, and we ordered one entree from both.

One of the entree's was the Chicken and Biscuits, and it was just amazing.  The taste and preparation of the dish was wonderful.

Our other dish was the Short Rib Griller.  We didn't think we could get much better than the first one, and then we tasted this.  It was a 13 out of 10.  It was so delicious.  Grilled to perfection, the combination of tastes just went so well together.

One of us had added unlimited champagne, which we found was a great deal at about $10.00 per person added to the entree.  The other one of us had a margarita.

We enjoyed our experience so much at Reunion.  We do not live in the area; however, the next time we do come to Laguna, we will definitely try it again.  We wish Reunion the best success!

Found this place on yelp when looking for some good eats.

They are very kid friendly, giving out etch a sketches to play with. They also have a kid menu that's really great. It's probably the first time I've ever thought the kid menu looked good.

We ordered winner winner chicken dinner for the little one, the heirloom burrata, and the honey blonde fish and chips. For dessert the mini hot fudge sundae.

My kid loved her crispy chicken, and though she doesn't like mashed potatoes, I tried them and they were very good. The heirloom burrata was good, and my fish and chips were very good.

    Some room for improvement:

The fries on my fish and chips were just coming off Luke warm, which was off-putting. But the fish was excellent.

Also, we ordered a mini hot fudge sundae. Sadly it was already melted substantially by the time it landed on our table. I was surprised. The fudge wasn't hot either. Very disappointing. Next time I'd just have dessert out.

The place was busy for lunch around 1pm when we entered and died down around 215.

    Pleasant staff.

We paid $70 and felt this was overpriced for what the food was. Probably because it's highly touristic in this area.

We came across this place by accident and are so glad we did!

The atmosphere is very dim, but somewhat loud (at least for dinner time it is). I recommend having reservations, even though the walk in wait time is very minimal (5-10 min max in the two times we've been here without a reservation).

The portions are generous and filling. There really is no need for an appetizer unless you want to splurge (in my opinion). I recommend the meat loaf, it is delicious and I don't like meat loaf. The jalapeño burger is also tasty but messy. I also recommend the house salad (random), but my boyfriend and I agree that it is one of the best we've tried.

The drinks are okay, somewhat pricey in my opinion for what you get.
